Thanks to everyone who gave such wonderful suggestions on the name for my Etsy account! The name I chose it HomeLight Creations. I am going to start by selling my photos as either cards or prints. If I can ever get good digital copies, I also plan to develop a line using old family photos, the black and white ones of generations passed. I have a few other ideas as well, but you will all just have to wait and see! I will do another post when I get the account all set up. It is much more work than I was planning on, but lots of fun too. Here is a collection of the pictures I am going to start with. Thanks again to those who helped me limit it down to the top 20 pictures! Oh, and at the top is my new logo I just came up with.

Another Confession

I have always been more of a waffles kind of person, but the last month I have been eating a lot of pancakes! Like 3-4 times a week, and not always for breakfast. I don't even like them with anything but butter and real syrup on them. In fact I think this addiction started because my brother and sister in law gave us this amazing syrup that would probably make cardboard taste like a little slice of heaven, but now that I have run out of it I am using the Trader Jo's real syrup, and it is pretty dang good too. Why can't I be like everyone else and just get addicted to regular junk food! Pancake mix is one of those things that I always have on hand so when I want them it is even harder to resist. Oh well, I guess there could be worse addictions.

Confession

I admit that I truly enjoyed the Twilight Saga. I know it is a "chick-flick" kind of book, but I AM a girl! I also am able to admit it because I have read a lot of other books including many classics, and because this is not my normal type of book. Just trying to be a well-rounded reader, right? It is however written in such a way you can easily enjoy the story, and for a visual person the overly descriptive writing just makes it more fun. If you have not read them, be open-minded and give them a shot. Many of you probably know how once I start something I tend to go all-in until it is done. Well once I was over half way through this book I figured, "why not just finish it?" 17 1/2 hours strait! Anyone want to borrow them?
*Oh, little bit I left out before. I went to Borders to pick up my book at midnight. The line went all the way around the inside of the store four people wide. I was at the very back, and knew that I was not going to get my book until after 1am. I was a bit disappointed. Just then J called from Wal-Mart, (where he was looking at computer stuff) and said that he had my book and wondered if I wanted him to get it. He did, and I met him at home and commenced reading at once.

Airplanes and Grasshoppers

Today J and I headed out to the old closed down air strip in town, and he flew his new remote control electric airplane! He does not fly his planes as much as he would like. Lately we have been waiting for a day with out wind. He has four planes, one of which has never been flown. The gas powered Cub however is special and he wants to get good before he takes it out. In order to practice he built "Big Ugly." It is made out of coroplast and has a gas engine that his dad found in a tree out in the forest. He has only flown Big Ugly once. All of these planes reside in our guest bedroom hanging from the ceiling. So the fact that he recently bought another plane and actually flew it successfully is a cause for excitement around here.

He still has to work on the landings. He did not crash, but the grass was too tall and would stop the propeller.

While we were out there we also caught some grasshoppers for the cats... Real hunting for them. They are such city cats they did not really know what to do with them, It was funny to watch!
